iForgot iSimplicity For an iMoment

I did glance over something I wrote in me blog & that was "...has returned me to the concept of simple." I so easily got stuck in drool mode about things of Pod XT/Live/Pro that iForgot that I'm going for starting simple. I guess I liked some of those Pod XT sound clips. I'm a gadgetoid & a gizmoidal consumer. But then I started looking at reviews. And like most multi-conquer the world units, most say they take a LOT of tweaking. That's what I must avoid for I've fallen into that trap before and just aimlessly pushed buttons & turned knobs. If less is more then it seems to follow the less buttons to push & the less knobs to turn means more in regards to simplicity.

One reason I was looking at Pod-dom things is due to the fact that if I want to change the time based effects on my Q2 in the middle of a song I can't at the moment. Down the line I'll have to enjoy a MIDI foot controller to send patch change signals to the Q2. No big whoop to do or get. It's just have yet another widget to find...on Craigslist no doubt.

So iPromise myself to remain true to iSimple. I promise to pretend that I'm EVH in the late 70's & I have my pedal board of, as Ed described it, 'MXR garbage.' Why don't they make an EVH signature plywood & duct tape pedal board? chuckle.

Till later comes, turn it up to iSimplicity.
